Walk around the 5000 year old village of Skara Brae, Ring of Brodgar and Standing Stones of Stenness and enjoy their mystery. Visit the Neolithic chambered tomb of Maeshowe and see the runes left by Vikings in the twelfth century. We will see other Neolithic sites while enjoying the fabulous Orkney scenery.
Scapa Flow Experience
Starting in Stromness hear how Stromness was connected to the World Wars then take a leisurely drive around the north, east and south of the historic harbour. I will tell you about our famous Orkney explorer, the scuttling of the German High Seas Fleet and the sinking of HMS Royal Oak, as we view scenic land and seascapes. We cross the famous Churchill Barriers, taking a stop at the Italian Chapel, before finishing our tour at Hoxa Head. It is not always possible to book a tour at Ness Battery but I will always try.
Kirkwall and South
St.Magnus Cathedral in the heart of our capital Kirkwall, Earl's and Bishop's Palaces from there we visit The Gloup then cross the Churchill Barriers stopping at the Italian Chapel. carrying on to St.Margarert's Hope on South Ronaldsay.
Enjoy a casual drive through Finstown and Evie, stop at Broch of Gurness and the Woolshed. Walk across the path to Brough of Birsay when the tide is out and finally stop at local beauty spot Yesnaby to see some fascinating geology and wildlife, and the rare Primula Scotica when in season. Drive through our second town of Stromness to see a breathtaking view of the Hoy hills.

If you enjoy wildlife you are in the right place. I can take you out on a bird watching day to the many cliffs and islands in Orkney where we have Puffins, Gannets, Red Throated Divers and other sea birds, Loch birds like Swans and ducks and cliff dwelling birds.
Nature Trail Walk
Park at Hobister Hill taking the path to Waulkmill Bay to the salt marsh. Whilst walking to the Salt Marsh you will see a number of sea birds as well as Hen Harriers and Short eAred Owls. At the salt marsh you can with wading birds feed and other wildlife and fauna. At the Brig O' Waithe watch for seals basking on the shore. With a stop at Yesnaby will fascinate you with the geology, birdlife and wild flowers not to mention the scenery.
Beer, wine and spirits
In Orkney Highland Park Whisky has always been well known and enjoyed, also Scapa Whisky. We have two Breweries in Orkney, the Orkney Brewery and Swanney Brewery. The Orkney Wine Company started a lot of years ago and make some fabulous wines along with Pirate Gow spiced rum. In the last few years we now have Gin Distilleries, all three make lovely and very different tasting Gin. If you fancy a tour to taste some of the alcohol made in Orkney this is the tour for you.
